C-Innovation, LLC (C-I), an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) and its family of companies, has secured a three-year contract with BP Exploration & Production, Inc. (BP), the largest energy investor in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
Total, Borealis, and NOVA Chemicals have announced that affiliates of the three companies have signed definitive agreements to form a joint venture in petrochemicals on the US Gulf Coast.
Thanks to the results of this well and the revision of the reservoir models of the Amoca and Miztón fields, the hydrocarbon in place estimate for Area 1 is boosted from 1.4 to 2.0 billion barrels (Bboe), of which approximately 90% oil and the remaining associated gas.
